My Very First Vegan Chicken Experience


In this article, I’m going to talk about my very first vegan Chicken Experience .You are probably thinking why is this guy writing about the vegan chicken. A simple answer is because I’m a vegan. Well, in the past, I’ve blogged about how to be vegan in 5 simple ways so technically, this is my second vegan article. Therefore, if you are also interested please do read that article here.

What is it?

it’s a product from this company called Nature’s Soy.

They advertise this product for being high in protein and no cholesterol.In one serving, it has 13g of protein and 1g of fiber and a 320mg sodium. I feel like the sodium level is a little higher but hey, it tastes good, to be honest, so I don’t mind a little sodium. It says you can get four servings out of a pack of this vegan chicken which means a whole lot of protein and some fat and other stuffs.

Good thing about this product is that it is made out of pure soy and made in the United States Of America.

Where Did I get it From?

One of the stores that we go for grocery is a Korean grocery store chain called Lotte Plaza. That is where we found this amazing and tasty Vegan Chicken. They are in few locations around here in Northern Virginia area.

Why am I Eating Vegan Chicken?

I don’t know. I just wanted to try something different. It’s not like I was missing the taste of chicken (that I used to eat) or anything, but it was more of an exploratory mission.

My Own Simple yet Tasty Recipe

Vegan Chicken is very easy to prepare. Since it comes frozen, the first thing to do is defrost it for like 5 minutes.

  • 2 spoonful of Olive oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon Turmeric powder
  • Very little Fenugreek seeds
  • 1/2 tablespoon Cumin seeds

Once you defrost the vegan chicken, you will need to heat up two spoonful of Olive oil in a pan or a round pot. After the oil is hot, sprinkle fenugreek seeds and cumin seeds and heat it for about 20 seconds.


Pour vegan chicken in the pot and stir it fry for 5 minutes on a high flame.

Fry until vegan chicken turns light brown and crispy.

Serve fresh and hot!


what do I think about it?

To be honest, I think it’s darn good. I’ve never eaten such good vegan snack which is light and tasty. It really doesn’t taste like chicken as advertised, but it has a taste that most people will like. I’d say more of a popcorn and chips mixed . For a vegan person, I think I’m going to continue to buy this product and eat it on a regular basis. My wife, who  is my co-blogger and not even a vegan loves this vegan chicken too. I think it would really taste good with a glass of red wine which I’m going to try right after posting this blog.
